Our MissionAL MANDATE

Transforming the world with the gospel as the holy spirit transforms our mind and molds us to be more like Jesus.

win - disciple - Love - be equipped

Lawrence Drive exists to win people to Jesus, disciple believers and love God with everything we have. Through Pastoral leadership we are to be equipped to do the works of the ministry.  Each one of us has been given power through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit.  Each of us has a spiritual gift through which we are able to do the good works that we were created for.  God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked. If God’s mission is to be glorified through the redemption and reconciliation of a people, the Church’s mission must align with those very same things.

The mission of the Church is highlighted in Matthew 28:17-20. We exist to remove all doubt in our worship of Jesus believing that He has given us the authority to live for Him and become more and more like Him.  We are called to make disciples of all nations and to baptize converts in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

At Lawrence Drive, this mission is best displayed in our daily lives, as we live out the Gospel to those around us teaching people to obey all the commands Jesus gave to us.  In all of this Jesus has promised that He would be with us even to the end of the age.

To experience and illuminate God's Glory

What is the glory of God? The glory of God is the illumination of His essence.  God is holy, magnificent, worthy, lovely, gracious, merciful, faithful, powerful and so much more. God’s desire is that He might be known experienced and enjoyed for who He is in His nature and character.  His perfection is displayed in His Son Jesus (Hebrews 1:1-4) and through His creative and redemptive acts.

We believe that the center of the gospel is the glory and grace of Jesus Christ, so we strive to be a church that is centered on the gospel and true ambassadors of Jesus Christ. We preach the grace of Jesus unapologetically because it is God’s grace that trains us to be holy (Titus 2:11-12). Because of what Jesus did on the cross, we can now be reconciled to God. Our mission is to preach this gospel authentically and unapologetically to the world.

OUR VISION - What we Want to look like

Qualitative Vision

A community of believers in Jesus who are ever increasing in the their likeness of Him.

Quantitative Vision

That each person would reach one more person with the gospel and disciple them to be more like Jesus.

To Become true ambassadors

The Christian faith is not intended to be lived in isolation. We were made for a relationship with God and with each other. The local church is not merely a place that we attend but is a called out community.  The Bible calls us members of the body of Christ  (1 Corinthians 12:12-31) with the expectation that we contribute to the body for the glory of God and the good of His people.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 speaks of us as ambassadors for Jesus. As those who have been reconciled to God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, we are now ambassadors of reconciliation to a lost and broken world. We plead, urge, implore, reason, pray, serve, preach, teach and gather to see God glorified through His work of reconciliation.

Being a true ambassador means living in a Gospel-centered community together; a radical call amid a culture of mere attendance and casual involvement. It involves mutual love, care, consistency and authenticity as we seek to adorn the person and work of Christ with our lives.
